Sedated By A Brick are a Bristol-based performance company, producing high quality “quirk” since 2008. Seeing common causes and routes into performance and live art, we have decided to see what kind of experience we can create when we put our minds and bodies together.
We have helped to set up a peer-led initiative – Interval – with other artists, performers and producers to create a supportive testing ground for each other’s work, from inception to completion. We are based at The Parlour, Interval’s shared rehearsal and office space on College Green in Bristol.

Fraisia Dunn obtained a Master’s Degree in Performance Writing from Dartington College of Arts in 2003. She met Neil and Gareth through theatre company The Wonder Club. As well as working on writing-based solo projects, she also performs with theatre company IDST! and Milanese artist Maia Sabonet.
Gareth Mayer studied Drama at the University of Bristol. As well as helping to set up Sedated By A Brick, Gareth also makes work as part of Imagined Future Benefit with Singaporean artist Tara Tan and collaborates with Bristol-based performance artist China Blue Fish.
Neil Puttick is a live artist and writer who joined in 2009. He develops constant works and formed IDST! – a collaborative organisation producing experiences in play and language. He has created the on-going motorway-based fictional anthropology CATNAP.
